Founded in 2012, Roots is the alternative to those typical fast casual dining options that leave you feeling bloated or just plain bad. We are the only gluten-free, soy-free, meat-free, guilt-free café in Valparaiso, Indiana.
Best known for the hand-crafted juices and smoothies we make, we also feature a gluten-free bakery, fresh organic produce market, house-made hummus, vegan soups, salads, wraps, quinoa bowls and more plant-based goodness made fresh daily.
Our team of lovely and talented human beings comes from diverse backgrounds yet shares a passion for our mission: Making people feel good! Long-time downtown Valpo residents, Carrie and Bill Durnell are the owners and nurturers-in-chief of this one-of-a-kind, community-focused business.
